Freire Charter School is committed to protecting our students, teachers, staff and community health and most recently underwent water testing by Indoor Environmental Concepts, LLC in July 2021 and February 2022. These rounds of testing resulted in one non-drinking sink at Freire High School and one non-drinking sink at Freire Middle School producing actionable amounts of lead after remediation. Both sinks have been visibly labeled “For handwashing ONLY, do not drink.”
Both Freire Middle School and Freire High School were certified Lead Safe. You can view the lab results below:

Freire Charter School previously underwent testing by Alpha Analytical, Inc. on December 19, 2016. All tests came back “non-detect”, meaning that there was no lead found. You can view the lab results here: Freire Schools Water Testing Results
