- Seniors fill out applications for ALL college choices
- Turn in all applications to College Counseling Office before Thanksgiving break.
It is the student’s responsibility to check for priority deadlines that are before December. For example, Penn State’s application is due by November 30th. The student must submit the application to their college counselor 2 weeks before the priority deadline. - Seniors apply for scholarships

- Registration deadline for January SAT
- Turn in ALL last-minute applications to the College Counseling Office
- Complete CSS/Profile Form for Financial Aid if applying to a selective college that requires it
- Seniors apply for scholarships

- Registration deadline for February ACT
- Complete FAFSA form as soon as possible after January 1st in order to receive financial aid
- Seniors and their parents sign up for PINs for the FAFSA
- Seniors apply for scholarships

- Wait for Student Aid Report (SAR) to come in mail or email, fill in any missing information, and return forms
- Check status of your FAFSA Online
- All FAFSA applications must be complete by February 14th
- Inform College Counseling Office of any admissions decisions
- Seniors apply for scholarships

- Inform College Counseling Office of any admissions decisions
- Complete any needed forms from colleges, the Department of Education, or PHEAA
- Seniors apply for scholarships

- Complete PHEAA Grant Notice Form for Pennsylvania
- Seniors visit colleges for admitted student presentations to help make their final decisions
- Juniors register for the May SAT (optional)
- Seniors apply for scholarships

- By May 1st, pick the college you will be attending and pay your admissions and housing deposit there
- Complete any needed forms from colleges, the Department of Education, or PHEAA
- Seniors apply for CORE Philly Scholarship as well as other scholarships that are still available
- Juniors register for June ACT
- Juniors register for June SAT (optional)

- Return books and pay all fees owed to Freire
- Give any requests for final transcripts to College Counseling Office
