Calm. Organized. Clean. Safe. These are all adjectives visitors have used to describe us upon first arriving at Freire. As these new visitors walk around our school, they continue to highlight just how different we are from other public schools they have seen. They marvel at the energy that flows through the classrooms. They praise how students and teachers genuinely care about each other’s well-being.
Seeing Freire for yourselves is the best way for you and your child to discover if we are the right option for your family. We hold Open Houses during the fall, and we gladly accommodate requests for personal school tours throughout the academic year.
Dragon Days: High School Campus
For students selected in our lottery, we offer you an opportunity to visit our high school for a guided tour on the following days. No RSVP is needed.

Located in the heart of Center City, we can be reached easily by car, bus, trolley, subway, or regional rail from all corners of Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs. Please be advised that parking can be difficult during the day and is available only at metered street spots or pay parking lots. Feel free to call the Office of Admissions if you need further assistance finding your way to Freire.
